New Movax Side Grip Excavator Piling Rig
Sheet Piling (UK) Limited have recently completed the purchase of a Movax Side Grip Excavator Piling Rig.
The base machine is a new generation 34Te CAT 328D LCR tracked excavator which is fitted with a Movax SG-60 vibratory hammer.
Additional features on the piling rig to improve operational efficiency and safety include zero tail swing, automatic safe load indicator for lifting operations, together with slew and height restrictors.
The Movax Side Grip system is highly efficient at handling, pitching, driving and extracting sheet piles, tubular piles and H-Piles particularly on infrastructure projects where restricted access often prevents traditional piling methods being used.
The new addition of the Movax Piling Rig compliments Sheet Piling (UK) Limited existing plant fleet of telescopic leader rigs and Giken piles presses.
Commenting on the recent purchase, Sheet Piling (UK) Ltd Chairman John Hull said: “Having used the Movax Side Grip system on a number of projects over the years, we have been impressed with the benefits offered where restricted access exists or significant temporary works would otherwise be required for traditional piling methods. Consequently it was an easy decision to purchase to further compliment our in-house services to both existing and new clients.”
The Movax Piling Rig is available for use on projects under a sub-contract or hire basis.
