Sheet Piling Contractors Feature in UK Water Projects 2015
Sheet Piling Contractors, Sheet Piling (UK) Ltd are delighted to feature in the UK Water Projects 2015 publication for the ‘Harrowside Long Sea Outfall’.
Working for Land & Marine Engineering, Sheet Piling (UK) Ltd were appointed for the ‘Design, Supply, Installation and Extraction’ of a 400.0m long temporary pipe trench for the replacement of Harrowside Outfall located just south of Blackpool Pleasure Beach.
The existing outfall built in 1938, had reached the end of its useful life and was the first element of United Utilities Blackpool South Strategy to further improve bathing water quality along the Fylde Coast.
Commenting on the specialist sheet piling contractors involvement, Sheet Piling (UK) Ltd Chairman noted: “We are pleased to have been involved in such a high profile project which was successfully delivered as a result of collaborative working between United Utilities, Land & Marine and its supply chain”.
